“Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress in every society, in every family.” - Kofi Annan.
These profound words assume even greater significance in an era marked by unprecedented transformation. The educational ecosphere has witnessed a paradigm shift over the course of time. Gone are the days, when the yardstick of good education was merely the high grades that embellished a report card. Gradually, as the scales of rote learning fall off, all that remains is the virtues that we collectively instil within the young hearts in their formative stages.
Here, at Delhi Public School, Sohna, we strive to complement the academic quest for excellence with learning rooted in traditions and culture. Upholding the motto ‘Service before Self’, we understand the significance of shaping conscientious and independent learners who act responsibly and contribute towards the upliftment of the community at large.
This shared vision is realised by the collaborative commitment of the students, parents, faculty and the stakeholders who relentlessly toil to align their short-term goals with long-term global perspectives. The fundamental role of education is to empower, reform and enable the dynamic minds to transcend all borders. Quality education paves the way to liberty of thought and performance that instils the courage to surmount all odds. I sincerely believe that every child who walks through our corridors, harbours dreams and aspirations to build a life nurtured in a holistic environment. Every student in our school is a unique individual who is celebrated for their distinctiveness, instead of pigeonholed in narrow conformities. Offering special attention to their needs, as a team, we remain steadfast in our commitment to groom every heart with compassion, by providing avant-garde infrastructure, honouring their individuality and unlocking their true potential. Our vision is to foster scholastic and co-scholastic brilliance by harnessing the 21st century skill-sets: generating curiosity, creative and critical thinking in an enriching and collaborative environment, while imparting strong humanitarian values.
“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.”
An inquisitive child questions, explores, discovers, invents and leads. As progressive educators, we must channel this curiosity, allow it to blossom, proliferate and shape each learner’s unique path. It is our earnest endeavour to supplant passive learning with active class engagement—more hands-on activities, more research and more opportunities to delve into the vastness of kaleidoscopic knowledge, without criticism or judgement. It's only ‘when minds are without fear’ that we can truly raise good human beings.
In the words of Aristotle, “educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” My extensive experience with schools and children has yielded an invaluable lesson: there is no substitute for honesty, hard work and clarity of purpose. This conviction is what today's youth must imbibe and practice diligently.
At DPS, our efforts focus on providing a well-rounded education shining the torch on academic merit, critical thinking and character development. We encourage students to foster empathy, serve others selflessly, pursue success with integrity, and uphold the tenets of amity, harmony and brotherhood across all walks of life.
I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to our stakeholders for entrusting us with the responsibility of guiding the trailblazers of tomorrow. By working in unison, we can bring out the best in each child.
Thank you for your continued support, faith and cooperation.
Together, we shall celebrate every milestone of our children’s lives.
Together, we shall enable our precious gems to usher into the brave new world with unwavering grit and gumption.
Together, we shall lay the building blocks of a society, sewn together with kinship and generosity.

“All it takes is faith and trust and a little bit of pixie dust.” – Peter Pan
There is something inertly powerful about a school. Beyond classrooms and corridors, it is a living promise that within these walls, creativity and joy will bloom. The promise that young minds will not simply learn, but awaken.
At Delhi Public School, Sohna, we see education as both, an act of imagination and an act of substance. It takes vision, yes. But it also demands rigour, discipline, and integrity. Like the child who dares to believe in a little pixie dust, our students are encouraged to dream expansively. Yet they are equally guided to build those dreams with structure, scholarship, and strength of character. Stories, ideas, and courageous questions shape a child’s world. When learners become architects of thought, they move from answers to inquiry. From imitation to innovation. This is the shift we nurture.
As Headmistress, I hold both faith and responsibility. Faith in the immense potential of our learners. And the responsibility of ensuring that our school remains rooted in substance, scholarship, and sincerity. The future is not something our children will passively inherit. It is something they are already imagining and beginning to build.
